I love Jelena like all Serbian players (Of course I'm from Serbia!) . She's very nice. And I'm glad that she fanally can taste how is feeling to be number 1 on the world!!! She really deserves it because she works hard! Yeah, she doesn't have any grand slam, but it doesn't matter, she will have it- I believe in it!!! She has many ingures this year because last year she played every tournament and her body is tired... I love Jelena like Ana Ivanovic, but I don't think that she is better tennis player than Ana. I think that Ana is much stronger than Jelena phisicly, but JJ is mentality stronger than Ana. Ana is more beautiful than JJ, but JJ is more good-looking than Ana- Jelena has a perfect figure.
In Serbia on September or October- I don't know exactly- in theatres will be given the film about JJ, film about her life...All Serbian newspapers are writing about that!!!!!
Wow - they're making a film about her life!! I didn't know that. I really want to see that!! I hope they show it here too and not only in Serbia, or hopefully it will be on the internet somewhere!
It must be probably a documentary, but still -wow!
Is gr8 that JJ is finaly no.1, her hard work i paying off, now we just have to see how she will perform at the Olympics. But i don't think she will keep the no.1 spot for to long.
And she can't be better then Ana(not yet anyway), consistancy or not, u just have to look at the results.

Here is Jelena's blog on her new website and I must say I really like new website.....and blog is so,so cool, I must check for new dress than...
Dear Fans,
I am safely back from the Olympics. What an experience that was. Although I was not at my very best, it will still go down as one of my most memorable times on tour. I was sad that the doctors advised me to miss the opening ceremony because I needed to rest my calf but I guess you all saw how amazing it was on TV. To have so many athletes from so many different countries all in the same place at the same time was an experience of a lifetime.
The amount of organization that went into the event was incredible. Everything there was well organized but very strict. I was given specific practice times and our court time was limited to blocks of 45 minutes every day. We had transportation arranged to and from the Olympic village but I didn't get a lot of time to go and see the sites of Beijing. I really enjoyed being with my Serbian team mates and all the athletes in general. Although I didn't get the chance to see any of the other events, I want to congratulate both Milorad Cavic for the silver and Novak Djokovic for the bronze medals that they won at the Olympics - Serbia is proud of you! Obviously I want to congratulate Dinara who beating me in quater-finals. She has been playing really well and is proving to be a tough competitor this year. All of my matches were played really late at night apart from one. I did the best that i could, suffering with an injury throughout the whole tournament was not easy. I am very sad because I have lost and that I have not fulfilled desire to bring a medal to mu country, but its like just that, I gave my maximum in this moment, and I believe that it will be better, that we will enjoy some new triumphs, even in four years on the OI in London! I am proud that the dress that I was wearing and helped design was getting so many compliments!
Despite the duties that every competition requires, I got the time to take a part in humanitarian action of UNICEF that made me very happy. On the event Champions for the kids in Beijing, I met the Hollywood star Jackie Chan, who is also the ambasador of UNICEF, and we both had the same mission in this humanitarian ation, which had the aim of raising awareness about the children in China. It is always a good feeling, when you are able to be devoted to the comunity.
Other than that, life was hot out there. It was also pretty humid but the air wasn't so bad. The organization made an effort with the food as well - offering a selection of d ifferent types of food. As I can be pretty adventurous, I didn't mind trying a bit of everything although I have to admit that McDonalds had the longest line of all the restaurants!
I am now in Serbia visiting my doctors, having some treatments so not too much time to rest because I leave tomorrow for New York. I am hoping to be healthy for the US Open so keep your fingers crossed for me. New York is one of my favorite cities and I think I am going to have to bring out my credit card and visit some of the shops when I am there! I am looking for to promoting my new Reebok dress. I really like how it fits and I hope you do too. I also have anew Prince bag that I will be taking with me on court so, now that I look good, I better play well too! :))))
That's all I have for now, but be sure to follow along in New York. I will write again soon.
Love, JJ
Ajde Jelena!!!!!! Uz tebe smo......po svoj prvi grand slam naslov!!!!!

This is Jelena's blog when she became No1. so here it is...first Serbian version, than English:
Dragi prijatelji,
Time se ispunio moj dečiji san.
Puno pozdrava do sledećeg pisanja. JJ
Dear friends,
From Belgrade to LA to Montreal to Florida to Beijing this coming week. Its been a busy time after a few weeks recovering from my knee injury. Let's start with good news. A press release went out today that when the next rankings come out on August 11th I will be the worlds next number one! For me this is a childhood dream come true. In fact I think I am still living the dream it is difficult to believe that it is a reality and I think the news is still sinking in. To have my name added along side a select few of tennis greats who have achieved a number 1 ranking status is a real honor and I will do my very best to represent the position well to do those who have come before me proud. I have been pretty consistent over the last 12 months and finally, a lot of my hard work is paying off. Although I am really happy, I hope to continue business as usual and I want to continue to be a good ambassador for the sport. Of course, I want to share this victory with you, my fans, because I truly could not have reached this level without you so thank you! Leading up to this celebration, I had a pretty tough two weeks. Let's start with LA.
A Going into LA, I didn't have too high expectations from myself. It was my first tournament back after injury so I just wanted to go out there and take it one match at a time. Sometimes I feel a bit like a yoyo because I lose and gain fitness quite quickly so after 14 days of taking it easy, I found it quite hard to get back into the rhythm and be match fit. I started the tournament ok but lost do Dinara who really played a great match. She went on to win the tournament and is having a really good run right now. Overall, I was just happy to get through the event and to spend some time in LA which is one of my favorite cities. Maybe I will come back here as an actress one day!
Next was Montreal. I had to wake up really early - 4:30am to catch the first flight from LA to Montreal. Fortunately, I am pretty good at sleeping on the plane so I closed my eyes and before I knew it, we had landed in a new country. I knew it was going to be a tough tournament because the field included many of the world's top players. I just wanted to focus on my game and keep on the right track for the Olympics and the US Open. I am a little disappointed to have lost in the quarter finals to 0:2 Dominika Cibulkova and therefore i am working hard to get back into the adequate form and to improve my fitness level.
So, that's it for now. I'm heading to Beijing in a few days for another new and exciting chapter in my life. I'll be sure to keep you all posted as to how it goes.
Take Care and Stay Well, JJ.

Thanks for the blog Nicole!!
Well JJ won her second round match. Here's an article about it:
World number two Jelena Jankovic was pushed all the way by Sofia Arvidsson before winning 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 6-4 to reach the third round of the US Open.
Both players had chances in a marathon third set before an exhausted Jankovic triumphed in two hours and 44 minutes.
Jankovic, who is seeded second, served for the match in the second set and also opened up a 3-0 lead in the tie-break but Arvidsson did not give up.
The world number 63, who lost another epic encounter with Jankovic in Miami earlier in 2008, trailed 3-0 in the decider but broke back to level at 4-4 before Jankovic made a final push for victory.
"It was really tough," Jankovic said. "I am completely out of breath. I was pushed to the limit.
"The last time I played her, she was 5-1 up in the third set and I had to come back."
And the Serbian later revealed that she had to stop her post-match run on the treadmill when pain flared in the area of a knee injury sustained at Wimbledon.
"I couldn't go any more," said Jankovic. "My leg was straight and I couldn't bend it. The muscle was in spasm and I had a lot of pain."
Jankovic faces Wimbledon semi-finalist Jie Zheng next after she beat Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-1 6-4.
I am really happy that she managed to win the match, but now I am sad cos she mentioned an injury she has, in the article above. I really hope it is not to serious, the woman is ALWAYS injured, I can't believe it! I have never known a player to be injured so much, like she is!! Anyway, she has a tough opponent next in Jie Zheng, so I really hope that she can win the match and move into the next round!! C'mon JJ!!!
 MY NOLE!!!
