No offense to you and Ana's fans but when you open the comparision topic, you should figure out that the facts don't lie. BTW I like Ana too. But right now Maria is far better. In another topic on Maria vs Ana, you can find this:

Of course Maria is the best. No doubt about that. Maria is the hotest woman on court and the best tennis player, much much better than that Serb.

Let's make some comparisions:

Grand Slam winner: Maria 3, Ana 1

Age when winning first GS: Maria: 17, Ana: 21

Age when becoming #1 in the world: Maria: 17, Ana: 21

The only thing Ana is better is she smiles alot on court. Again smiling-Ana, we have Maria Shrieking Pova , Right?

 Last but not least, the FO was an accident coz Maria isn't a clay player. With the grass and hard court coming, she will for sure take back her #1 ranking.

You forget to mention that Maria has been on the ATP Tour longer than Ana, when Maria won her first Grand Slam four years ago, Ana had just turned Professional and was playing on the challengers circuit.

Maria blossomed at 17 and Ana has really come onto form in the last six months, she has come and leaps and bounds from 2007 and 2008 and her first Grand Slam indicates this.

 Both player's are fantastic player's, but at this moment, Ana is slightly better, a whole one position better.

Maria is a million percent better than Ivanovic!  She will prove that to everyone when she wins wimbledon this year and Ivanovic doesn't!!

Maria is a way better player and has achieved much more ( 3 grand slams compared to Ivanovic's 1)!!

P.S. Ivanovic nearly got kicked out in the second round today to Dechy, and if it weren't for the net saving her, she would have been out!!
