A. It is not mandatory to use Maria, or yourself.

For this contest, your personal avatars are considered an 'expression' of who you are (like your username). Some people prefer digital artwork, or quirky photos, funny slogans, or even webcam pics, etc. Whatever you choose, be creative and keep it in 'good taste'. Have some fun! But please don't violate any(ones) intellectual property and/or copyrights while doing so.

One of the first things I noticed about Maria was her amazing sense of fashion.  I remember her dress for the US Open in 2005 thinking ‘WOW! She looks so amazing!’ and I have been a fan ever since. Now I have loved her more for her game but her sense of style is still key.  Maria always seems to be dressed simple but elegant.

Wow! This is great! A bit disappointed though, I thought the prize would be a chance to finally meet Maria!  I guess  that would still be classified as just a dream! haha! I'll start working on it right away!

Here's My Entry!

It's really difficult to depict Maria in such small dimensions so I decided that if I can't have it big, I'll have it many!

More than just having awesome tennis skills and a fierce spirit, Maria has a great personality that sets her apart from the rest of the group. She has good taste in fashion and a great sense of humor so I decided to quote her interview and use it as my inspiration for my avatar. Enjoy!

I mine I have used a firework background because it explains the explosive determination to win and her explosive shots. I have also used  the picture of maria when she is showing off her Us open trophy so then it shows that she is a winner!
