He'd probably come off the bench for a few games but he's still our best right sided midfielder and as far as im concerned he is England, the only one that consistently looks threatening and plays with any real passion... and probably the only united player i've ever liked :\

Well,it would be a long shot,but that Rooney is in some pretty hot form...

 

He would have been useful coming off the bench, even though he has no pace, he's our only winger who can put in a good cross, also his influence in the squad will be missed.

 I think, if we play to our best the only teams who are better than us are Spain and Brazil, and Rooneys probaly the best player in the world at the moment so if he keeps up the form he's in we're in with a chance, although I still think Spain will win it.

Poor Pompey, they're even losing against us.

Now that's depressing.
