Oh poor Mel.  But I can't believe she actually knew about it and didn't tell her dad  . I have never been in that position but I don't think I would ever keep something like that to myself. Anyway I feel bad for her, her family is falling apart, just like her dream run at the US Open fell apart the other night.
Ioana and Nesli - Grrrr stop hating on poor little Mel lol. And yeah I do support her, I would say she is probably in my Top 50 favourite players  . I can't believe people hate her as much as Serena and Venus, and more thna the 2 worst players in the world - Alla and Bartoli  !!!

I don't hate her cos I don't know her personality but I really hate her playing and style.I still think she isn't good player...I don't like Williams sisters but they are really great player and they have really agressive style.somebody thinks Oudin has agressive style but I don't think so.

Maria still has an attacking game -- just not as effective as it used to be in the past.
no,I said that I didn't like Serena but she was great player and she had agressive game and I didn't like Oudin.Someone thought she hasd agressive game but I didn't think so...
yes she still has attacking game but everybody knows she isn't good as before...the problem of serves is the biggest problem but she changed her serve style.I hope she will be great

I will certainly applaud the American kids' win in France. Be advised, in April semis, I WILL be cheering Team Russia--which might include Masha... ("God, I love working on American soil!" -- The Comedian, Watchmen 2009 )
I didn't see alot of this, just a bit of Ouidin vs Coin. (Figured I could catch replays on TTC.) Julie Coin is a good trooper but let's face it: This was ANOTHER understrength team. Right off the top of my head, I can name Razzano, Rezai & Bartoli. (C'mon, they were playing at home: if Marion gotta have Walter on the bench, that was do-able. Tarpischev travels with looks like a coach for every player, plus physios, etc. lol!)
But that aside, if even the French B-team can no longer handle Yankee kiddos on clay, they need to rethink some stuff.
Again,  for Bethanie. Melanie & Leizel. Just one thing, as the Brit commentators seem clueless, let me note that Americans are due the same courtesy I demand for Russians where NAMES are concerned:
It is NOT "Odin" like the Nordic god. NOT "Weedin" like you might say it in France:
Mel's name is CAJUN ("Louisiana French"). It is pronounced oooh-DAHN or don, with strong accent on the second syllable.

Hi everyone!
I really like Memphis a lot. I've played here since I was 14,
starting with the U18 National Clay Courts. I think I have a lot of
fans here - I saw some tonight when I played my first match. Even a few
ladies told me they came through snow and sleet to see me from
Mississippi... it's very exciting knowing I have support!
My trip from France was pretty good. The airplane was a bit rough
for me because I was getting over a cold, but I'm learning how to deal
with all of the travelling and real life on the Sony Ericsson WTA
Tour... it's different for me but I'm looking forward to it. I got a
lot of confidence in France, too. I won five matches there, more than
I've won in a while, so I feel like my game is getting better and
better. I'm playing some good tennis and hope to do well here.
Today is just the first day of the blog so there's more to come!
Keep reading every day - I'll keep writing and letting you know what's
going on in Memphis!

Hello again everyone!
I've just come from winning my second round against Lilia Osterloh.
 I didn't have much time to recover from my first match, but my recovery
was good. I got to sleep in this morning and I felt good out there
today. I played a very solid match all the way through again. It's
gonna be three matches in 24 hours after coming back from Paris now!
It'll be tough but I'm getting used to playing a lot of matches. I feel
in pretty good shape. When I play a lot is when I do my best.
I had some amazing crowd support again today. It's a little bit
weird because I'm playing against other Americans, but it's really nice
that a lot of people came out today and were cheering for me. Thanks to
all of you!
One thing I have to say... it's very exciting to see Justine back. Getting to see her play at the Australian Open...
I watched her match against Dementieva, the whole match, and it was
incredible. She's such a good athlete, she's so quick, there are so
many things I can still learn from her game. I'm looking forward to
watching her more... and maybe even one day playing her! *yeah and make sure to kick her butt!*
I'm just gonna rest up a bit today. There are two more matches then
my doubles match later. Oh, I also recorded some fan questions on video
for the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour website - so watch out for that soon!
