Alizé just collected her first WTA Tour title at Budapest. The first set against Andreja Klepac of Slovenia was close & hard-fought. Wish I could've seen it but those gambler linx just don't work for me... oh well, congrats Alizé!

She is. Later, she and her partner Janette Husarova have now pulled out the doubles championship as well, so Budapest has been good to Cornet. True that she named her "Andy" after Roddick, but nobody's perfect. lol!

Alizé had to retire in the first round at Bad Gastein--down only 2-3 in the third set so it was certainly injury or illiness. Hope nothing serious. She played through Budapest with a GI infection, so maybe it ganged up on her. Get well soon, babe.

Alizé made a big season on clay : finals in Acapulco and Rome; semi-finals in Charleston and Amelia Island, and finally win in Budapest; she's not injured just tired. She's right to stop and after break she'll be back... I hope she'll become #1 of french players and i believe in her more than in Bartoli who was very lucky last year. Alizé may be more regular and strong. C'mon Alizé !!!
