BTW, the avatar only allows up to 80 x 80. You cant go 120 x 120 or else it shrinks the image. So could we post the avatar pic if its 120 x 120?

MY AVATAR represents my drumset(red like her dress at the open :) ) wich has on the bass-head the photo of Masha. I choose this picture because when I play my drums, i enjoy it like a sport, and when I see maria's smile i've got the right inspiration to write and play songs!
I like her style, because she's  determinated like me,she's funny and has nice musical choices like dave matthews band,hootie and the blowfish and U2!

My settled belief that Maria wins the US Open let me create this avatar. Well now after she’s lost so early it might look like it’s rather out of place, but NO - the statue of liberty represents for me the will not to give up, not to abandon, but to fight, to keep it up no matter how as well. Stand fast! And so do I as Maria’s big fan in good times as in bad. There’s a day it’ll pay off.

By the bye, I’m actually from NY and I’m proud of it. So there’s another reason for my avatar, but maybe not quite as talking big as above

Here is my entry for the contest

I choose the picture of Maria winning Wimbledon because it's her first Grand Slam title. She has a sweet memory there, and it is represented in the quote that I picked. You can see her shining, because she always shines, on court and off court.

Maria is my greatest inspiration. I love her determination, her desire to win and compete, and of course, her fashion sense. As I see her, she is a powerful and independent woman, but yet she has a unique personality and natural in her own way.

It's really difficult to depict Maria in such small dimensions so I decided that if I can't have it big, I'll have it many!

More than just having awesome tennis skills and a fierce spirit, Maria has a great personality that sets her apart from the rest of the group. She has good taste in fashion and a great sense of humor so I decided to quote her interview and use it as my inspiration for my avatar. Enjoy!

Well I think this will be mine - of course down the bottom,Maria providing some good comedy after that sensational US Open win last year which I think I'll remember for a long,long time as perhaps my favourite sporting moment - it just felt so good to be a true fan of someone and have them come through...

And well,that top picture - Waterloo Sunset. Of course my other great interest is music and I know Maria loves music as well - well 'Waterloo Sunset' is one of my favourite songs but of course the Waterloo Bridge is in the great city of London - the scene of Maria's classic triumph in 2004 which I also think I'll always remember as one of the great underdog moments...

Well, I'll just pop it as a signature as well - although it is as 2 seperate pics...
